Marie Tatsumi studied at the Department of Vocal Music of Tokyo College of Music and its graduate school. She has completed the Nikikai Opera Training Course and is a member of Nikikai. She is currently studying in Italy.
Ms.Tatsumi has made appearances on numerous operas and concerts that include “Die Zauberflote” (Papagena), “MABOROSHI~ Opera Tale of Genji” (Sanno-miya), “La Boheme” (Musetta) and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (soloist soprano). She has also been active in various TV programs and theater performances as well as in writing activities. In July 2016, she appeared on “The Marriage of Figaro” of the Nikikai Opera. She released the CD “Kanpai-no-Uta: KANPAISONG” in 2013.

Born in Osaka, Marie Tatsumi studied at the Department of Vocal Music of Tokyo College of Music and its graduate school. She has completed the Nikikai Opera Training Course and is a member of Nikikai. She is currently studying in Mantova, Italy.
At the second year of her high school, the musical “Candide” (directed by Amon Miyamoto) in which her father, Takuro Tatsumi, played a major role inspired her to change her future career vision drastically from becoming a medical doctor to a classical music singer. In July 2016, she realized her dream by making a debut at “The Marriage of Figaro” of the Nikikai Opera produced by Amon Miyamoto.
Ms. Tatsumi has made appearances on numerous operas and concerts that include “Die Zauberflote” (Papagena),World premiere “MABOROSHI~ Opera Tale of Genji” (Sanno-miya), “La Boheme” (Musetta),Japan premiere “Griselidis”(Bertrade) and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (soloist soprano). She has also been active in various TV programs and theater performances as well as in writing activities.
As for CDs, she released the CD “Kanpai-no-Uta: KANPAISONG”. (lyrics: Takuro Tatsumi, composition: Akira Senju) < the theme song of BS Japan「TatsumiTakuro’s Wine Romanticism」> in 2013. She contributed to the release of the CD of “Celestial maiden~Shoichi Yabuta Songcollection” in March 2016. In May 2016, she challenged herself to perform as a voice actress for the first time in the CD of “Turtle that flying in the sky” a part of a series of Japanese folk stories.
She has studied under Teruo Sanbayashi,Hiromi Hayashi,Yuko Kamahora,Teruhiko Komori and Yoko Takeda Vassalle.
